18th Annual Mariners Hospital Walk/Run Benefiting the Center for Excellence in Nursing
Nurses continue to play a crucial role on the frontlines of our community, caring for our patients and more committed than ever to ensuring the health and safety of each one of us. At Mariners Hospital, our nurses are heroes, and we are proud to support them with the 18th Annual Mariners Hospital Walk/Run. The Walk/Run will be held both virtually and in person, November 15 - 20, 2021.
Lace up your running shoes and join us in person for some friendly competition at this fun community event on Saturday, November 20 beginning at 7:00am. The race will observe social distancing and other CDC guidelines for the safety of our participants. Or if you prefer, you can participate virtually anytime between Monday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 20. Hit the road and complete the distance, or hop on a treadmill – it’s entirely up to you. Once completed, enter your finish time into your Haku account. Results will be posted on November 20.
Please note: the Mariners Hospital Walk/Run will take place outside at Treasure Village Montessori School and will follow the most up-to-date COVID safety guidelines established by Monroe County, Baptist Health South Florida and the CDC. Currently mask wearing is recommended, but not required. Miami-Dade County has seen a rise in COVID-19 cases, and hospitalizations are significantly up. In the event that the in-person portion of the Run/Walk has to be canceled, the virtual race will still take place. If you registered for the in-person event, your registration will be transferred to virtual participation. We appreciate your consideration as we work through an ever-changing environment.
Your support will give our nurses the gifts of education, training and state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and help them continue to provide the highest quality care for our patients. Mariners Hospital is a community hospital that provides services to every individual in need, including those with the inability to pay. We thank you for the trust you place in Baptist Health in caring for our local community.
