HEAT.HELP.CURE. is a partnership between the Miami HEAT and Baptist Health South Florida to raise critical funds for patient support services, research and clinical trials at Miami Cancer Institute. Cancer is the second-leading cause of death in the U.S., and one in two men and one in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetimes. HEAT.HELP.CURE. is a full-court press to defeat those statistics. In just a few short years, HEAT. HELP. CURE. has blossomed into a key initiative, quickly become the largest cancer fundraiser for the Miami HEAT, and raising almost $1.1M for Miami Cancer Institute in 2021.
Bounce Back from Cancer™, the signature fundraising event of HEAT. HELP. CURE., will be hitting the streets, in-person, on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Participants will choose to dribble 14.2 or 2 miles, both routes ending with a celebration at the FTX Arena. The 14.2 mile group will depart from Miami Cancer Institute at 6 a.m. The two-mile group will depart from The Underline's Brickell Backyard. Like our event this past spring, we will also have a virtual option available to those who prefer to dribble from their “home court.”
Please note: Bounce Back from Cancer™ will take place outside and will follow the most up-to-date COVID safety guidelines established by Miami-Dade County, Baptist Health South Florida and the CDC. Currently mask wearing is recommended, but not required. In the event that the in-person portion of our event has to be canceled, the virtual event will still take place. If you registered for the in-person event, your registration will be transferred to virtual participation. We appreciate your consideration as we work through an ever-changing environment.
